I haven’t seen such an outburst since the days of this Kristen Stewart interview. Here I was, googling “Twilight Movie News”, hoping for something new to look at, and I stumble across an MTV blog not an hour old.
Pretty much, they spilled the beans on the Stephenie Meyer cameo in Twilight. Thinking they obviously had the authority to do such a thing, I flag it and send it to the Lexicon and a couple of other affiliated Twilight-news sites. Everyone would have find out by the next morning anyway.
I wake up this morning and there’s been this massive outrage against MTV. I almost feel sorry for the journalist who wrote it (and who probably just got handed the press release and told to write about it) and is now copping such extreme shit for it.
What I don’t get is why everyone is in such an outrage about it. Sure, it was probably Stephenie’s news to tell, and it was probably going to be a surprise, but what I don’t understand is how come no one realises that if the news is Twilight-related, it WON’T STAY A SECRET. In a way, I’m thankful they did the blog, because now I’ll know to look out for the author.
